1. Summary
- Dashcam video is stored on your device first.
- Cloud backup is optional and currently uses Google Drive only when you connect it.
- Account, device, trip, and incident metadata may sync to our backend (Supabase) when you sign in.
- We do not sell your personal data.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account information
When you create an account or sign in (email/password or Google Sign-In), we process:
email address, display name, authentication identifiers, and subscription tier metadata.
2.2 Device and app data
- Device name, role, firmware/app version, online status
- Battery, storage usage, recording/parking/stream status
- Pairing tokens used to link family devices
2.3 Location
If you grant location permission, GPS coordinates may be attached to trips, incidents,
parking events, and SOS alerts. Family features may show GPS lock / status for linked devices.
Location is used for safety, evidence, and mapping features—not for advertising.
2.4 Camera, microphone, and video
The App records video (and may use microphone if enabled by your device/settings) for dashcam
and parking surveillance. Clips are stored locally on the device. If you enable Google Drive backup,
selected clips and related metadata may be uploaded to your Google Drive account.
2.5 Sensors
Accelerometer and related motion data may be used for hard-brake, impact, and parking motion detection.
2.6 Emergency contacts
If you add emergency contacts, we store names, relationships, and phone numbers you provide,
and may use them to help compose SOS messages when you trigger an emergency action.
2.7 Diagnostics
We may collect crash logs and basic analytics (e.g. via Firebase Crashlytics / Analytics) to improve
stability and performance. This may include device model, OS version, and app state around a crash.
3. How we use information
- Provide dashcam recording, storage, playback, and retention features
- Detect safety and parking events and create incidents
- Sync account settings, devices, trips, and incidents across your signed-in sessions
- Enable optional family pairing, live status, and streaming
- Support SOS / emergency workflows you initiate
- Backup selected media to Google Drive when you connect it
- Improve reliability (crash reporting) and secure the service
4. Where data is stored
- On device: video files, local database, settings cache
- Supabase (cloud backend): account profile, devices, settings, emergency contacts, trip/incident/video metadata when signed in
- Google Drive: only if you connect Drive; uploads go to your Drive account
- Firebase: crash/analytics and push notification tokens where enabled
5. Sharing
We share data only as needed to operate the App:
- You / family devices you link — status, and live stream when you allow it
- Service providers — Supabase, Google (Sign-In / Drive / Maps if used), Firebase
- Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect safety and rights
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
6. Permissions
Depending on features you use, the App may request:
- Camera / microphone — recording
- Location — trips, incidents, SOS, parking auto-detect
- Notifications — alerts and family/SOS push where configured
- Network / storage — sync, backup, and local files
You can deny or revoke permissions in system settings; some features will not work without them.
7. Retention
- Local video is retained according to your storage quota and retention settings, and may be deleted by cleanup or when you uninstall the App.
- Cloud metadata remains while your account exists, or until you delete it / request deletion.
- Google Drive files remain in your Drive until you delete them there.
8. Your choices and rights
- Export a JSON snapshot of account-related data from Settings → Export All Data
- Disconnect Google Drive anytime in Cloud settings
- Unlink family devices in Devices settings
- Delete local clips from the Video Library / Storage screens
- Request account or data deletion by emailing the contact address above (include your account email)
9. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Security
We use industry-standard protections such as HTTPS and secure on-device credential storage where available.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11. International transfers
Backend and analytics providers may process data in data centers outside your country.
By using the App, you understand that such transfers may occur as needed to provide the service.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change.
Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
